This
database was designed to provide law enforcement and state agencies
with the last level of the electronic verification pyramid,
which is insurance verification. Historically the state has
provided electronic database access for driver license information
and vehicle registration information. In addition, the current
insurance status of all drivers is also provided. One check
verifies the status of driver license, registration and mandatory
automobile insurance.
