Mr. Richard Kasteler,
President Insure-Rite, Inc.
230 South 500 East, 580
Salt Lake City, Utah 84102
Dear Mr. Kasteler,
I am happy to provide this reference
letter to you. I have been involved in the State of Utah's
Uninsured Motorist Identification Program since its inception
in 1996 when the State entered into the contract with
Insure-Rite. During the past five plus years, I have been the responsible person from the Utah Tax Commission, Division of Motor Vehicles,
to administer this program. During this time, I have been pleased not only
with our working relationship, but with the results of the
program for the State of Utah.
Over
the duration of this program, we have seen Utah's uninsured motorist
rate of an estimated 20 to 25 percent drop to an
estimated 8 to 10 percent. This program has been efficiently administered by
Insure-Rite and has provided untold benefits to Utah citizens. While the
program started as an identification program and as a tool to Utah's law
enforcement agencies for road-side enforcement, the Legislature expanded the program to be a more
aggressive registration revocation program. This program expansion has come about because of
the efficient and effective manner in which the program has
been administered, and the results achieved over these years.
I have been very pleased with the professional
and friendly people who make up the Insure-Rite organization. I have always been confident
that our inquiries and those of our customers will be handled timely and correctly. Additionally, the
results of the program administration have been deemed successful as a result of the audit performed by
the Utah Tax Commission Internal Auditors.
Respectfully,
Viola W. Bodrero, Director Motor Vehicle
Division
